The Mission Continues...
The Global and USA National Innovation Marketplaces and their various sub marketplaces are discontinued, effective immediately.
The Marketplaces started with a simple purpose - to accelerate technology transfer by making it so that business people could understand the business case for a technology in 2 minutes or less.
In its day - this Marketplace was a breakthrough - with one in five inventors getting a meeting with a possible investor or buyer, in part due to their ability to communicate their invention in a format - concept, sales forecast, etc. - that a business executive could quickly understand.
We'd like to thank the Kauffman Foundation and the governments of the USA, South Korea, Canada, UK, the various U.S. states, as well as thousands of inventors from Universities, Federal Labs, Citizen Inventor Groups, and large and small companies for their support.
However, technologies have moved on. The concept of the Marketplace has served its purpose. The Innovation Engineering teams at the IE Institute and the IE Network - in colleges, universities and countries around the world - are working on a new way to accomplish the mission of accelerating technology to commercialization with increased speed and decreased risk. They are already hard at work on a 100% fresh start. It's a 'smarter' vision using more advanced technology.
In closing, I paraphrase the mock epitaph that Ben Franklin wrote:
The Body of the

Its Contents torn out,
And striped of its Lettering and Gilding,
